Who Is Allira
Multipurpose Allira Gathering Association Inc. (Allira) is a well-known Aboriginal governed and managed organisation that has been delivering culturally secure Aged Care, Childcare, and Social Housing for families in the Dubbo and Mid-West region of NSW for nearly 40 years.
Allira was initially established to support Aboriginal families in providing social opportunities, early childhood education and childcare services for their children.
Allira has grown considerably and now delivers a range of services, underpinned by its adoption of Social Inclusion principles, best practice performance and compliance with regulatory frameworks and standards.
Our Purpose
To reduce the disadvantages of individuals and families through education, support services, and quality housing.
Our Aim
Allira aims to:
- Care for, support and protect children, young individuals, frail, aged and those socially disadvantaged and most vulnerable.
- Through our early learning centre and other services advance early childhood education by developing core life skills and culture;
- Care for and support the Aged;
- By addressing the needs of the elderly by using person-centred approaches to provide aged care social support services, housing and transport services for our aged care elderly clients.
- Care for and support individuals with disabilities within the scope of our resources
– By providing aged care services and social support group activities for people living with disabilities.
- Promoting reconciliation, mutual respect and tolerance between groups of individuals in our community;
– By promoting harmony, eliminating discrimination and promoting equity and diversity.
